Accuweather: Case Study

Prior to their most recent redesign, I conducted a small remote usability study about the weather website Accuweather. Weather is my second love behind all things internet when it comes to career options, and when it comes to weather websites, Accuweather is my favorite. That’s why I wanted to analyze it and see how it could be better for everyone.

About the Study

This study was my first time using remote usability and I wanted to keep the questions pretty concise since the Accuweather website is pretty expansive. Additionally, I wanted to make sure that the tasks were relatable to anyone participating.

Remote Testing Results

I conducted remote testing using Optimal Workshop. Participants were given the same three tasks to complete and participants webcams and screens were recorded. In total 5 participants took part in the testing.

This review document contains a business summary of the project along with a summary of the tasks for the users and the resulting concerns and takeaways from the study.
