My career has been dedicated to making sure that users are able to accomplish online tasks easily. The biggest mistake a company can do is not pay attention to the needs of their users. Whether a project is in the early planning stages or going through pre-production design, the user’s needs are always in the forefront of my mind, to ensure not only the best results for the project, but also that the efforts are valuable to the end-user.
UX Design
Over the past few years, I’ve put time and effort into becoming a better designer and completed my Masters of User Experience Design in Fall 2019. Over the past few years, I’ve compiled a handful of case studies for brands like Marriott Bonvoy, Accuweather, IKEA, and more. These case studies explain my thought process into the design decisions that were made and the research that went into those designs.
Web Design
VAX VacationAccess
VAX VacationAccess is a travel website that is used by 118,000+ travel agents (~90% of all U.S. travel agents) on a daily basis.
I started working with VAX in 2009 and manage web page design and implementation, graphic design for banners and am the user experience (UX) guru on the team.
Here are a few samples of my work from the site.

Funway Holidays
Funway Holidays was an England-based travel company that specializes in providing tailor-made holidays to the USA & Caribbean.
I helped them design and code many landing pages as their web design resource. My aim with Funway was to encourage them to build out custom landing pages rather than use the rigid templates they tended to use to make the pages really stand out.

Graphic Design
City of Waukesha, WI
As the UI/UX Designer for the City of Waukesha, I am also the primary graphic designer for much of the print and digital designs. Included in the designs are a social media image for hiring using the City’s branding, a poster for Downtown Waukesha highlighting events coming in Spring, and a digital ad for the Independence Day festivities.
Additionally, I have the following print flyers:
Riverside Rhythms Sponsorship Flyer (8.5 x 11)
Waukesha Strong Dine Out Weekend

Safe Harbor Humane Society
Safe Harbor Humane Society is an animal shelter and I helped them with social media and print ads for their adoption promotions.
Of the included designs, I am most proud of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Game of Thrones pieces as those went semi-viral with those pieces getting dozens of shares and hundreds of likes (which for a small animal shelter is pretty high impressions).
